Entry Approval Certificate

A Entry Approval Certification (EAC) is required to be able to access an electrical network provider facilities. In order to qualify for your network provider-specific EAC, you need to demonstrate  understanding on how to manage your health and safety around electricity, electrical equipment and your network provider's assets.
This requires you to:

  • Complete 3 online modules and 
  • Attend an on-site workshop.

In this programme, you will be able to complete the following modules:

  • Module 1: Electricity - The basics (online)
  • Module 2: Electricity - Health and Safety (online)
  • Module 3: Orion Distribution Network (online, plus completion of an on-site workshop)
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Recognition: Digital badge for completion of all 3 modules and on-site workshop

Restricted Area Entry Certificate

A Restricted Area Entry Certification (RAEC) is required to be able to access an electrical network provider facilities. In order to qualify for your network provider-specific RAEC, you need to demonstrate  understanding on how to manage your health and safety around electricity, electrical equipment and your network provider's assets.
This requires you to:

  • Complete 3 online modules and 
  • Attend an on-site workshop.

In this programme, you will be able to complete the following modules:

  • Module 1: Electricity 101 (online)
  • Module 2: Electricity Health and Safety (online)
  • Module 3: Orion Electricity Network (online, plus completion of an on-site workshop)
  • Duration: 2 years
  • Recognition: Digital badge for completion of all 3 modules and on-site workshop
